Newari Festive Lunch

Sharing some pictures from today's festive lunch together with GiT Family...Well, forgot to take the picture of our lunch...Hopefully, someone will fill that gap with their words. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜œ

For a change we had one of our partner's parents with us today who came to Eindhoven on a holiday from France. It was very nice to meet them and do something together. After all, GiT is not just for spouses but also for partners, family, and friends. ๐Ÿค—

Once again thank you all for coming today. It was my pleasure hosting you all and presenting some of the items from 'Newari Culture'. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™ If you missed it this year, maybe something to look forward to next year! ๐Ÿ˜

Until next week, fijn weekend allemaal!๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜˜

Turkish Delicacy with Sumak Eindhoven

It is always good to see GiT members finding their way around in many ways, personally as well as professionally. And todayโ€™s visit to SUMAK Eindhoven @Het Cruydenhuisch made us all proud of @Aysegul and her friend Merveโ€™s delicious Turkish adventure. Lucky us to receive a workshop by Aysegul and learn one way of preparing a dish with bulgur: bulgur salad (Kisir).

It was very delicious. A bit sour, a bit spicy. Just a thing that you can eat anytime of the day every day. ๐Ÿ˜Š  And Turkish tea was perfect with the weather.

Thank you so much @Aysegul for the workshop. It was nice meeting you after a while. And it was lovely to have @Audrey and @Merve today. The weather couldnโ€™t stop us. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Until next week, fijn weekend allemaal!

Visiting Creative Town and Getting Crafty

As you all know, yesterday 1st October, we visited Yolima Grandas and her Creative Town. She had invited us for a Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป craft workshop, and it was very interesting. All of us, Audrey Fournier, Cindy (intern at the Holland Expat Center, South), Nikita, Renisa Suryahadikusumah, and I, enjoyed it thoroughly. It was also nice to have some International Creative Women (ICW) Members join the workshop with us. It was rather a mixed group yesterday. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™

Craft with paper or clay, the end product was for tealight (theelichten in Dutch). We were of course able to bring our paper craft back with us. But for the clay ones (๐Ÿ‘ปshape), we all decided to leave at the Creative Town and take them in a day or two when they are dry. (Remember to take your own and not somebody else's.๐Ÿ˜) Though things seemed simple to make, it definitely wasnโ€™t the case practically. ๐Ÿ˜
